How does Receiptify read the receipt?

Snap one photo of the printed receipt and Receiptify's OCR extracts every line item, the tax, and the tip. You can fix any misread item with a tap before sharing the claim link with your table.

How are tax and tip split?

Proportionally. Tax and tip are apportioned based on the subtotal of what each person actually claimed — so the friend who ordered the steak covers more of the tip than the one who had a side salad.

What if two people shared an item?

Multiple people can claim the same line item and Receiptify splits its price evenly between them, then folds each person's share into their proportional tax and tip.

How do I actually get paid back?

Each friend's claim page shows exactly what they owe, and you collect through whatever you already use — Venmo, Zelle, Cash App, or cash. Receiptify computes the fair number; it never touches the money itself.

Does Receiptify store my payment or card details?

No. Receiptify never asks for card numbers or bank logins. The only data involved is the receipt photo you snap and the names your friends enter when they claim items.

Receiptify is free to download on the App Store and splitting a bill with a shared link is free to use. There's nothing to subscribe to just to get paid back for one dinner.
